Description: Tim Hudson is the feel-good story of the decade. Standing a meek 6'0", 160 lbs, Tim was a two-sport star in high school, before going to JUCO for two years and then transferring to Auburn his Junior season. After pitching well, if not spectacular at times, he was the 6th-Round draft choice of the Oakland Athletics in 1997. After two seasons of solid, but not dominating pitching in the Athletics' lower levels, Tim put it all together. He went a combined 7-0, with a 1.75 ERA and 79 K's in only 67 innings between Double-A Midland and Triple-A Vancouver, before being called up to the Coliseum to show Major Leaguers his stuff. All he did in his first big league season was to go 11-2, with a 3.23 ERA, 132 K's, and only 62 BB's in 136 innings. Due to the strong rookie crop, he only came in 3rd in American League ROY voting...but has continued his success through much of 2000. Peter Gammons raves about Tim being one of the few legitimate, up-and-coming #1 starters in the game today...and with the crop of players that Oakland has been producing the last couple years, they might be THE force to reckon with in the American League for years to come...with Tim Hudson at the helm. This jersey comes with a Just Minors C.O.A. (which shows time, place, and picture of Tim signing the jersey), and a "Just the Proof" hologram on both the certificate AND the jersey itself
